By day, she is Dannii Minogue, well known TV presenter, actress, successful singer and all-round Minogue. When danger threatens, though, she is transformed into Mighty Morphin' Dannii Minogue, a mega super-heroine with a strange fondness for tight vinyl costumes and mood lighting. And now you can read about her adventures exclusively on Gusworld.
Dannii sat down at her dresser and began touching up her makeup with practised skill. She had a date later that night with Julian McMahon, and it wouldn't do not to look her best! It was as she was wiping off her eyeliner that she became aware of a strange noise. Was that the tinkle of broken glass? It sounded as if someone was trying to break into the apartment!
"Danger threatens," she said to herself. "I must transform myself into Mighty Morphin' Dannii Minogue." Using her secret mystical powers and reciting the magic words 'This Is It' under her breath, she span around in circles and transformed herself into the vinyl-clad super-heroine.
In one swift movement, she leapt up from the dresser, kicked in her own bedroom door and pounced into the living room. A young hoodlum with a punk haircut was busily unplugging her Sharp ghetto blaster -- a present from her parents in 1984 -- so that he could steal it. Dannii recognised him as 'Eddie The Cat', a well-known cat burglar who'd been responsible for several thefts in the area. She instantly sprang into action.
Whacko! Kaboom! Her high-flying kick, enhanced during her brief stint as the rebellious Emma on Home & Away, soon left Eddie lying unconscious and bleeding on her floral-patterned hearth rug. Pausing only to check that his injuries weren't mortal, Dannii picked up a phone and dialled the police.
The policeman blinked in amazement. Dannii Minogue was one of his favourite stars, and here she was with a burglar in her apartment! It was lucky she hadn't been hurt. Fortunately, the burglar had tripped over a stereo cable, bashing his head on a fireplace and possibly causing permanent brain damage. "I was so frightened, officer," Dannii simpered. "He won't come back to get me, will he?"
"Don't you worry, Dannii," the policeman told her as he left. "He'll be locked up for a very long time." Little did he know Mighty Morphin' Dannii Minogue had saved the streets from crime once more.
Back at her dresser, Dannii sighed contentedly. "Another Success!" she said to herself, as she continued touching up her makeup.
