THIS RANT 04/04/1997
Rant Of The Day is where I get to mouth off about whatever I feel like for however long I like. Theoretically, I'll update my whinge/opinion piece every weekday; in practice, maybe not so often.
The return of free station food
It's been a while since I got given a free food sample at Town Hall station. Fortunately, the cycle was broken the other day when I was presented with a sample bag of Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes. (Actually, 'presented' is a lie; the Kellogs girl was busy offloading boxes when I walked past, so I helped myself to two bags full. Service standards in Australia continue to decline.)
It's been a while since I went the whole Crunchy Nut experience, and I've got a few conclusions to draw:
- Either my mind is going (a definite possibility) or Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes have fewer nuts than they used to. Not that I'm objecting, they taste better now.
- I'm glad I did take two sample packs; one would hardly have made a satisfying breakfast. And yet the 30g pack is the recommended serving size. Maybe I'm just a pig.
- The new slogan is "The trouble is they taste too good". Wrong. The trouble is they cost too much.
