Share A Secret Reviewed

Share A Secret Reviewed looks at the weekly Share A Secret column in Australia's biggest-selling magazine, Woman's Day. We at Gusworld love it, and we hope you will too. We don't give away the plot (that would be unfair and a possible breach of copyright); we just tell you what the headline is and describe the stunning artwork that goes with it.

Woman's Day dated October 28th, 1996

She was 30, still single, and despairing of ever being a mum -- then she decided she just couldn't wait any longer

Of the past four stories in Share A Secret, three have been about having babies. Clearly, there's gold in them thar ovaries. In fact, this week's issue even takes the unusual step of having Share A Secret on a prominent right-hand page. Perhaps they've finally realised how important it actually is.

That said, the story doesn't actually bear close examination (although the picture does include a fetching bowl of apples for the compulsory shade of red). According to this touching narrative, the vixen in question seduced the man in question and managed to avoid contraception by pretending to be swept away with passion. This is all very well (or not), until you realise that they were actually together for a number of months. If the guy insisted on unprotected sex all that time . . .
