Share A Secret Reviewed

Share A Secret Reviewed looks at the weekly Share A Secret column in Australia's biggest-selling magazine, Woman's Day. We at Gusworld love it, and we hope you will too. We don't give away the plot (that would be unfair and a possible breach of copyright); we just tell you what the headline is and describe the stunning artwork that goes with it.

Woman's Day dated November 11th, 1996

When a sister has everything you've always wanted, then she starts taking your things, it's time for drastic action . . .

Indeed. Woman's Day has taken drastic action this week, decided that the colour du jour is blue, and proceeded to plaster some charitably-minded bint in a blue satin off-the-shoulder number all over the front page. Just in case you miss her, there's another six pages immediately following. The last time Woman's Day ran this many pages consecutively was when the former sister-in-law of the bint tested an unusual pedicure technique while flashing her norgs. But you get that.

Share A Secret Reviewed dumps the colour theme (red rules, OK?) but keeps the sister theme going with this lamentably average tale of revenge gone wrong. (They never have a revenge-gone-right tale, which suggests a kink in their moral makeup somewhere.) Partial redemption comes in the form of the picture, where a manic looking blonde (wearing purple, no less) attacks a selection of garmenty things with very big scissors. Worth catching up with if you have the time.
