According to this undoubtedly rubbish personality test, I’m an autonomous post-materialist, and my icons include Venus Williams (I could care less) and, closer to tech home, Steve Jobs and Shawn Fanning (indifference tending to loathing in each case). Indeed, the only person on the entire suggested list who I’d seriously contemplate as an icon is South Park‘s Eric Cartman. Re-reading his Wikipedia entry (believe me, there are far less worthy contenders for an encyclopedia article) reminds me of a favourite Cartman quote: “Why don’t you stop dressing me up like a mailman and making me dance for you while you go and smoke crack in your bed room and have sex with some guy I don’t even know on my dad’s bed!”
